What a Crappy Blogger!

I feel like I have fallen off the face of the earth! I haven't blogged in a while... I haven't hardly read any blogs! I went back to work in November and when I get home at night I am beat!!

That's what we have been up to lately. Justin's work has been slow and I have been able to go back full time at Dr. Paul's. I think the reason why I am so beat by the end of the day is because, I have to actually think when I'm in the office. No one can see how dumb I am at home!! But, I glad I could go back. I feel like a crummy Mom but, thank goodness we have family and friends that help us out!!

We are getting excited for Christmas!! Jaden asks me every day now, " How many more sleeps until Christmas?" We have to get our butt in gear and get everything wrapped and finished in the next couple days!

We are doing Christmas Eve dinner at our house this year. I'm not sure what I was thinking but, I can't back out now! It will be fun, though. We will have about 30 people here! Crazy , I know! Deep fried turkey, ham, funeral potatoes, rolls, soups, pie, apple dumplings... am I forgetting anything!!

TWILIGHT!!!

The night Finally arrived! I was crazier than a kids in a candy store!! It was freakin AWESOME!!! I was one of the crazies that was squealing during parts of the movie!! It was so fun!
I went to the midnight showing at the Santa Fe with my sister, cousin Janette, and some of Keli's Friends from work! One of the friends went to the theater at 5:00 to stand in line for us!! I have never gone to a midnight showing and though I was going to crash but, I was way too jazzed all night!!
Then I went back at 11:15, with some girls from my ward, to see it again!!! I would go back again and again and again!! I loved it!
Really the book was still 100 times better than the movie but, I loved it anyway!!

Yeah... I know, Nice!

So we had a rather eventful Sunday evening! We ended up in the ER at UMC. I was starting to feed Cutler dinner (potato soup). I was cooling off a spoon full for him when he grabbed on to the edge of the bowl and pulled it. He didn't have any clothes on besides his diaper because he ate yogurt earlier in the day and I wasn't going to re-dress him until bedtime. It was so sad! He is such a tough little boy though. He has done really well the last couple days and even though his pictures look crappy, he is starting to heal really well!

Happy Halloween!!!

I think this is the first year in a long time that I haven't dreaded Halloween! We had so much fun! The boys were so cute... I mean, COOL! Jaden wanted to do 2 different costumes this year and after doing the Mummy wrap the first Trunk or Treat, I gave in an let him do an easier costume for Halloween night! Collin again was Batman! I'm guessing he will be Batman until he goes on his mission! Cutler was Squirk, from finding Nemo! I did actually, sort of dress up too! I went as a Baker... get it Kim Baker was a Baker!!! I know... very clever!! It was simple and SO ME!! HA Ha Ha!

How Sad

So, I was just taking a break from cleaning and sat down to the computer. Justin has commandeered the downstairs TV from the boys so they are up in my room with me. Now to the point... they were watching Spongebob on Nick, when it went to commercial. Next I hear " mom, Twilight"! Jaden noticed the commercial from all the clip that I have been watching online about the movie. He knows who Edward, Bella and James are. I know... like I said, "How Sad".

I don't think... no scratch that, I know I have NEVER been so incredibly excited for a movie to come out as I am for Twilight!! Pathetic, I know!

The Choice

OK, so I have become a book worm lately! I would have never thought that I would keep reading books! The most recent is The Choice by Nicolas Sparks. I also read through The Notebook on Monday. Really, I almost liked the movie better.

Anyways, The Choice is good. It isn't near as long as the Twilight books, but nonetheless, it was a great read!

The Host

I just finished The Host. It was a good book. It was a little hard to get in to (because, I am not the best reader) I almost gave it up. I'm glad I didn't. I have to say that I LOVE Stephenie Meyer's books. I guess it goes back to being a hopeless romantic! But, it's not like cheesy romantic. I love it!

Anyway... If you were thinking about reading it... start. But, You have to be patient and know that it does get good!

Justin's Love

Well, it took about as long as it would take to have a child...but, Justin got his buck back tonight! Yes it is already on the wall. That was priority numero uno!

I do have to say that, I don't really mind it all that much! It is nice to finally have some type of decoration up in the house. I told Justin that I was starting to feel like our old house! We have our long lost deer hanging back on the wall!

I know I sound crazy for allowing deer on my walls but, number 1 I really didn't have a choice and number 2 Justin LOVES hunting. I love to see him have something to do that he really enjoys!

I know I have turned into a such " Redneck" in the past 6 1/2 years but, who cares! To each his own!

Bored

I just finished reading the Twilight books again...and now I am bored! I also went to the Stephenie Meyer website and read the Midnight Sun chapters that she posted...pathetic... I know! I want to read more! I am afraid to start reading another book only to disappointed that it is not as good as Twilight!

I think I am going to get a copy of The Host and give it a try. If you have any other suggestions... I'm totally open to them!

First day of school!

Ok... so, I really can't believe that we have our first kid in school. It doesn't seem that long ago that we brought him home from the hospital! Jaden was so excited for his first day of kindergarten. He is in Mrs. Fickle's class! He really likes her. He has been talking about school almost non-stop since monday! He is such a smart kid I know he is going to love the rest of school too!
Hopefully everyone else had a GREAT first day!

I am Finished

Well... I actually finished Breaking Dawn on Sunday morning right at 4:00am. I know I'm STUPID! I couldn't put it down. I didn't really know it was that late or early, he he! I started reading them again. Again, I know , Weirdo! But, I love them. I am able to get somethings done now too. Like cleaning...feeding my family...oh and working!HA! I started to feel like a vampire, myself in a way! I was up all night and stayed in all day!

So, Yes... I love Breaking Dawn! I can't wait for the movie to come out.! I know it is not going to be the same as the book but, I can deal. I am going to be going to the midnight showing when it comes out so if anyone else wants to go... let me know! I already told Justin, so whether he is hunting or not I will be going! It would be a fun Girls night out!

My New Obsession!

I have taken the advice from most of my fellow bloggers and started the Twilight series! I was hooked from day 1! I started a week ago and I just finished the third book...Eclipse!

I have to say... I did not consider myself a book reader! I think the biggest book I ever read was the Book of Mormon and that took me a year! I fell in LOVE with the Twilight series! I never thought I would ever be reading a romance novel, that was the last thing I would ever read.Justin looked at me the other day strangely, and said "I've never seen you read like this before"! I thought that was funny! Anyway I am definitely a fan! I will start on Breaking Dawn tomorrow night! I told myself that I have to have my house CLEAN before I start it! Justin is going Hunting again so Breaking Dawn will give me something to do!

Thanks again for all the Twilight suggestions! I will get back on in a couple days when I finish Breaking Dawn to post!I have to stay off the computer so that I am not tempted to look at the Twilight blogs to get the spoilers!

I'm so EXCITED!

Under Construction!

It has been so long since I last made a post. I've been busy but mostly lazy again! Anyways I got a WILD HAIR the other day and decided I wanted to change up my blog a bit. I loved what Blogger couture did for me but, I was going to start to see what I could figure our on my own. So... I will hopefully have something cute soon. I know it wont be as good as the Blogger Couture Girls did for me but, I will sure try!


Also. Travis is coming home Thursday so any of you that would like to come, my Dad and Mom are doing an open house Friday night at their house starting at 7. So please come! There will be Dessert! YUM! You know I will be there!!

Deadliest Catch

I am a BIG fan of Deadliest Catch! Yes... I know I am a big Nerd! I had a hard time waiting for Tuesday nights to watch the new episode for the week. Justin is right along there with me... So anyone have a good show to watch now that my Favorite one has ended for the season? I have been meaning to dive into a good book right now too instead of getting hooked on a new show.

MY SMOKIN' DEAL!

SO... Yes I finally sold my table that I was almost scammed on. We were without a table I think for about 3 weeks or so. We have had a table in mind but, wanted to wait for the right time and the right paycheck to buy it!
Anyway, I ended up going to DI yesterday just to look and see if they had anything worth re-doing. I was on my way out when I saw it! My table! I was shocked... I was way stoked! So I ran over to it to see if it was taken yet...and it wasn't! The price was absolutely right too! It was &70.00...yes, $70.


The only thing wrong with it was that it was only the table. We still need to get chairs. So the search still continues. I'm not too worried though,we found the table...we are bound to find some chairs!

I just had to share my smokin' find! I guess patience does pay off!

Keeping Busy!

We have had a totally fun summer! We swim almost everyday, play out back in the dirt and watch movies!

We also got to have Nick over for our very first Sleep Over last week! We had lots of fun! I made the boys smores in the microwave and we stayed up later that I have in a while! The smores were awesome! They tasted bettert than when you make then when you go camping...seriously!


Lately I have been feeling really crafty! When we had Nick over we went to JoAnne's and bought fabric to make batman/superman capes. I also picked up a pattern and some material to make a dress. I don't know what I am thinking...but I guess I will try...what do I have to lose?! I will post a picture of it when I finish or with my progress. Since I have never made a dress before I'm sure making progress will be slow! I don't have all the capes done yet...I will post a picture when I get them finished too!
Anywho I will leave you with some pics of what we have been up to lately!

Finally Here!

Ryan Matthew Troxell is finally here! He is Michelle and Ryan's new little guy! I didn't get any pictures because he was still in the nursery when we got there...so I will post some later when we get to hold him! He was 8lbs and 13oz and 20 1/2 inches long. I thought that was a big kid! Michelle and Ryan said that he has long fingers and long toes! Anyway I just wanted to let you all know that he was here! Congratulations Ryan and Michelle! We Love you!

Jaden Is 5!

Ok so I am a week late. Will you just give me the award now! I was in the middle of being a lazy blogger and totally for got to post on his day! His birthday is June 14. 2003.

I can't believe that we have a 5 year old! He will be in kindergarten this year too! Time really flies by! Jaden is really a sweet boy! Very thoughtful. He is really smart and has a scary memory!

Jaden was born 6 1/2 weeks early.
He weighed 4lbs and 11oz and 16 1/2 in long
He was in the NICU for 1 week

We are so grateful for him! He is such a good boy and good example to his brothers!

Laziness

I know... I have been a bad blogger! All I can say is Laziness, pure laziness. I have no other reason. I have surfed many blogs... but have been to lazy to post for myself. SO here are a list of things that I should have blogged about but didn't!

Blayne's Graduation: Congratulations Blanye on making it all the way through High School. You are smarted that I thought you were!

Birthday Party: We did a combined birthday party for all of our boys. We missed Collins in April because we were way busy packing. Jaden and Cutler's are in the same month. BTW I just remembered that I never did a post for Jaden's Birthday! Poor Kid! I know... Mother of the Year! (his birthday post will follow)

Swimming: Almost everyday! We either go to our neighbors house or the Silver Mesa Pool. I know Public... but the boys have a BLAST! I've gotten a nice tan too!

Waiting: We are still waiting for Baby Ryan to come. Michelle still has not popped him out! Every time she calls me I get anxiety! We can't wait to see him!

Staying up Late: Justin has been on nights so... I've been staying up past my bed time!

Reading: Yes... I said reading! For some reason I have really gotten into the Chronicles Of Narnia. I have to agree with everyone that says books are better than movies...they really are!

Fixing things: Collin, for some odd reason, decided to kick out one of the posts on our banister. We are not sure if he was mad or playing!? It broke completely one half fell about 20 feet below. The space was just big enough for Cutler to fall through, So he was always with in sight of Justin or I. Collin is not a gentle child. So, thanks to Grandpa Nelson, we think the fix will work. Thanks Grandpa!

Laundry: I love my washer and Dryer. No...Really I do! It is upstairs, close to the rooms and very efficient!

Callings: Justin and I already have callings in our new Ward. Justin and I are both on the activities committee and Just also assists with the 11 year old scouts!

I think that about does it. You are now Officially caught up!

They are off! I don't know who was more happy? Justin, Me or Jaden. It is so nice not to have to wrap his arms before his bath. He got them off just in time for summer! They smelled pretty bad! He got a nice bath last night!

FREE AT LAST!

Rough Day

Cutler had a pretty rough day! And I'm not being my usual sarcastic self. First, he had his 12 month well care visit so we were up a little early. Cutler will usually sleep until about 8:30 or so. Anyway, I went downstairs with the boys to give them breakfast and sat Cutler on one of the chairs(he usually is really good about sitting still on the chair and even getting down by himself). Well he fell off the chair. Jaden was sitting in front of him and I was no more than 4 feet away, so I didn't really worry. Anyway, so he fell off and got a bump on his head. I didn't think anything of it because, he was close to the ground before he fell(he was already trying to get off the chair and was doing fine). So, we go to the Doctors office and almost forgot that he had the bump, and the doctor asked me how he got it and when he got it and I told him. What he said next terrified me! He said that it wasn't a normal bruise(the goose egg kind).It was mushy and thats was worried him. He told me that he was going to send us for an x-ray of the skull. He thought that he could have maybe fractured his skull! SCARY!

The rest of the well visit went on and the doctor asked me If Cutler had any fevers in the last couple days. I told him that he had. I thought it was teething. He said that he had Rosiola(not sure if that is spelled right). Anyone need a nominee for "Mother of the Year"? Nerve racking!!! Then Cutler got shots! Nice!

We went to the radiologist and had the x-rays done. Thank Goodness they came back negative. He just has a really mushy bruise on his head. We are so Grateful for Dr. Bakerink and everything he does. I was pretty shaken up when he said skull fracture. He tried to help me remember that things happen even when we are close to are kids and think they are safe. Still I felt like a crummy Mom!

All in all he is still alive and has had no ill effects from his fall. We are so grateful that he is ok and for everyone that has asked about him!He is a pretty TOUGH kid. But, with 2 older brothers I guess he kind of has to be! I know that the Lord was watching over us again today!

Happy Birthday Cutler!

How time FLY'S! It seems hard to believe that Cutler is 1! He is such a sweet baby! He has been such a blessing in our lives. He is always smiling and is a very happy baby! Just in the last week he has started to try to walk! The other 2 boys were walking earlier than Cutler and try as I might, I wasn't able to get him walking(completely) by his first birthday! Oh well.. I guess I have to have patience. Cutler has been the one that has done things in his own time. He was scheduled to come on June 8, 2008 but, decided to come earlier. He is the only one that I have gone into labor with! And... I would rather not do it again!

Even though you can't read this yet, Cutler, we LOVE you and we are BLESSED to have you in our Family!

Baby Showers and Graduations.

Ok, just one baby shower and one graduation.

On Saturday, my Little Sister, Michelle had her baby shower! She is due on June 16th so, it was about time we got her shower done! I can't believe she is having a baby! I know she isn't that much younger than me but, it is just CRAZY! I am so excited for Baby Ryan to come! It will be so much fun to spoil him and then send him home! We are so excited for Ryan and Michelle, they are going to be GREAT parents!

Then Sunday, it was Seminary Graduation for Blayne! I cannot BELIEVE that he is already graduating. It seriously seems like yesterday that he was just starting school! I am grateful to him for the example that he has set to my boys for going to and finishing seminary! Thanks Blayne and Congratulations!
